Pizza restaurants across the nation are feeling the pain of high gas prices, rising food costs, and weakened marketing budgets. How many more price increases for flour, cheese, and tomatoes will there be before prices stabalize? These questions have many pizza restaurant owners losing sleep and worrying about bills, rent, and operating costs.
The only way to fight rising costs is to consistently generate new revenue (ie: get more customers, get more phone calls, sell more pizza). Advertising is key here. You must promote the heck out of your small business in order to ward of competition (Pizza Hut and Dominoes have hefty advertising budgets) and become a community favorite. If you don't have a nice menu, doorhanger, or flyer in your customer's hand on a Friday night - they probably will call someone else.
So ask yourself this question? What are you doing in order to overcome rising prices? Is your menu in every home within a 5 mile radius of your location? Are your delivery drivers out door hanging when business is slow? These simple questions may hold the answers to high profits.
Fortunately, full-color flyer printing is more affordable then ever. New printing technologies, increasingly efficient printing techniques, and bulk orders have all contributed to lower menu and flyer costs. For example, you can print a full-color glossy menu or flyer for as little as $0.04 each - that's less than the cost of a black and white flyer at your local print shop! What's the catch? You will need to order in volume to get the low pricing. However, this should not be a dilemma if you are advertising as aggressively as you should.
Remember to always print in full-color or you will be wasting ad dollars. A recent survey from a national research group found that 61% of adults prefer to receive ads on glossy paper.
